Our Impact

The founding members of Spired Consulting Group met as employees of a non-profit organization in Baltimore, Maryland. Natasha, Nakia and Melisa found that their passion for education led them to opportunities outside of their current careers. Independently, they were impacting young people and organizations far and wide. These three trail-blazers decided to collaborate and form Spired Consulting Group, Inc.

Spired Consulting Group aims to provide college access support and expertise to students, families, educators, organizations and communities.

In the course of my day as a college and career ADVISoR, i work with a diverse student population whose learning and social functioning levels covered a wide spectrum. I particularly enjoyed and excelled at working with the teacher to help guide students to set academic and social goals for themselves. i have realized that one of my greatest strengths is the ability to increase students’ tolerance for frustration when they become overwhelmed and feel incapable of succeeding. helping students realize their potential by focusing on their accomplishments and reflecting on past success helps promote positive self-concept. specifically, i believe my exposure to community based organizations such as collegebound foundation and my work with first generation students will only serve as a positive foundation for counseling students in the MD/Dc/Va area.
